Effect of neurofeedback training on auditory evoked potentials’ late components reaction time: A placebocontrol study

چکیده

Background/Aim. Neurofeedback (NFB) training of sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) contributes to improving cognitive performance and increasing attention. SMR power is increased when a person focused task-oriented. The shorter reaction time (RT) the P300 auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) associated with better Hence, increase in after NFB should decrease RT task. aim study was examine ability healthy individuals modulate electroencephalographic (EEG) activity between 12 15 Hz during 20-day sessions. In addition, effect on investigated. Methods. Participants were divided into experimental control groups, 24 subjects (12 males females) each group, aged 25 40 years. group trained authentic training, while false (placebo) applied. AEPs registered five occasions: before 5, 10, 20 sessions, one month last training. Results. results showed that series sessions amplitudes SMR. significantly shortened, it not observed. Moreover, EEG signal o f t he S MR negative correlation RT, but only subgroup male subjects. Conclusion. obtained indicate effects improvement attention process expressed by RT.

Phase effects on the middle and late auditory evoked potentials.

A masking level difference (MLD) paradigm was used to investigate the presence of an electrophysiologic correlate of the psychoacoustic MLD in the middle and late auditory evoked potentials. In experiment 1, middle latency potentials were recorded in six normal-hearing young adults using vertex and temporal electrode montages. Tone bursts of 500 Hz presented in SoNo and Spi No conditions produc...

[A study on three components of auditory evoked brainstem response].

Under adequate stimulus intensities, the power spectra of normal auditory evoked brainstem responses (ABR) are mainly composed of three major parts, i.e. component A (0 approximately 350Hz), B (350-700Hz). and C (700-1200Hz). By means of digital filter using fast Fourier transform, three derived ABR waveforms consist of each component of the power spectrum were obtained and named component wave...
